Enti\u00e8rement gratuit, le festival permet au public de visionner des films scientifiques d’exception sur des sujets de recherche actuels et r\u00e9pondant \u00e0 des enjeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n
\nLe Festival Sud de Sciences est port\u00e9 par l’Universit\u00e9 de Montpellier, coorganis\u00e9 par les organismes de recherche CIRAD, INRAE, INSERM, IRD, la Facult\u00e9 des Sciences, le service culture scientifique de l’Universit\u00e9 de Montpellier et l’association Centre de l\u2019Imaginaire Scientifique et Technique (CIST), qui le coordonne.<\/p>\n
\nLe festival s’inscrit dans le contexte de la recherche locale, tr\u00e8s riche et diversifi\u00e9e, \u00e0 l’image des 6 000 chercheuses et chercheurs de la communaut\u00e9 scientifique montpelli\u00e9raine. Les projections sont l\u2019occasion de rencontres-d\u00e9bats avec des scientifiques sp\u00e9cialistes des th\u00e8mes abord\u00e9s et des r\u00e9alisateurs de documentaires invit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
